Fidel Castro Worried of More “Coups”

The former Cuban leader who lead a coup and held power in Cuba for more than 49 years is now worried that the situation in Honduras could lead to more “coups” in Latin America.

“Honduras is not only occupied by the “coup leaders” but also occupied by United States forces.” This excerpt comes from Fidel’s Reflexions.

Dated July 10, the note discusses the situation regarding Honduras and Manuel Zelaya, and his failed attempt at landing in Tegucigalpa on Sunday July 5th.

“The Falcon jet made three passes over the airport” Castro wrote.

He finishes by saying: “If Zelaya is not reinstated as President, a wave of coups looms and threatens to sweep with many governments in Latin America”.
